Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Guests and Colleagues!


It is a great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 10th International Congress of Polish Rehabilitation Society “Civilisation and Rare Diseases as a Challenge for 21st Century Rehabilitation”, which will take place in Gdańsk in September 12–14 , 2019.

We invite all members of the rehabilitation team: physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, psychologists, speech therapists, dieticians and clinical nutrition specialists, occupational therapists, social workers, orthopedic technicians, massage therapists and specialists in rehabilitation management.

The opening ceremony of the Congress will be on Thursday, September 12. In the following days, during parallel plenary sessions and in poster sessions, we will present you a place of rehabilitation in a modern treatment of patients with civilization diseases, including coronary heart disease, heart failure, heart and lung transplants, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, cancer, post-stroke, we will also present the role of specialist in rehabilitation management in the comprehensive rehabilitation model in Poland. We plan sessions related to telerehabilitation and trends in e-health. We will also share experiences related to the multidisciplinary approach to patients with rare diseases for example of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and we will present novelty in the treatment of patients with spinal muscular dystrophy.

Our guests will be scientists and recognized specialists in this field from Poland and abroad. We hope that your stay in Gdańsk will be also an opportunity to visit our city and take rest and make interesting acquaintances, maybe for a lifetime, that may result in further scientific and professional development of this future discipline, which is medical rehabilitation.

Please consider the following guidelines, information, tips, terms and deadlines mentioned.

Structure of abstracts in the form of posters

1. Your abstract should be submitted in English,
2. Font: Times New Roman, size: 12, space between lines 1.5,
3. The limit of characters for the abstract is from 580 to 2500 characters (including spaces),
4. Your abstract can not contain photos, drawings, charts or tables,
5. Your abstract must include:
- name and affiliation of the author/authors,
- title of the work in English,
- admission,
- purpose,
- material and methodology,
- results,
- discussion,
- conclusion.

Once you prepared your abstract according to the above guidelines:
• Submit your abstract to (milena.witkowska@med-media.pl) email address,
• After submission you will be acknowledged of the receipt of the abstract via an email within three working days.

ATTENTION! The person sending the abstract is automatically treated as a person to corespondence.

• Please note a single registration permits only one person to attend the conference,
• If the co-authors would like to attend the conference their registration and payment is required to be made independently.
